Updating the contact details associated with a domain

As the domain registrant, you are responsible for ensuring that the contact details attached to the domain are up to date. It is advisable to update the contact details at least when the domain is renewed. You will receive a reminder of this when we remind you to renew your domain.

Editing contact details via the customer pages

It is easy to edit your contact details via our customer pages.

  1. Open your registered domains. You can access the domain management here.
  2. Select the domain whose contact details you wish to edit and click on the three dots on the right-hand side of the domain.
  3. Select "Edit contact details".
  4. On this page you can edit the Registrant and Technical contact details.

  6. You can edit the two different contact headers, Technical and Registrant.

Technical

These contacts tell you who handles the technical aspects of the domain, such as DNS management, DNSSEC settings and other issues. Normally this should be Tuonetti's contact details, but if you have outsourced DNS management, you can change their contact details here.

Registrant

The contact details of the domain registrar, i.e. your contact details. This should accurately read all your necessary contact details. Having this information correct will ensure that you will always be contacted correctly about anything related to the domain. Another benefit of updating this information is that your customers may want to check the authenticity of your address, for example through Traficom's domain name search. When your contact details are correct, you give a more reliable impression of your business.
